Human actions Catcca community project  third workshop – learning about medicinal plants and knitting.

In Catcca community there are wise elders who have preserved ancestral knowledge and who are still practicing. But they lack a link so that they can transmit this knowledge to the next generation. The Human Actions team is helping the wise elders to organise workshops in the community school targeted at children and adolescents giving them the opportunity to learn and practice this important cultural knowledge. The workshops are focused on textiles, medicinal plants, permaculture, and gastronomy.

Human Actions recently open a shelter for rescue dogs in Cusco.

Human Actions recently open a shelter for rescue dogs in Cusco, this has a mission to protect and provide a better quality of life to dogs that are in a state of physical and emotional neglect. We embrace both their permanent and temporary care, as well as developing education and social awareness campaigns with the goal of  “humanizing” people and “harmonizing” the way individuals interact with their physical and social environment.

Human action help Casa Verde and Casa Acogida orphanage’s by providing baking teachers to the girls. This enables them to have the skills to enter a trade that may help them support themselves in the future.

‘Casa Acogida’ is a home for teenagers who have been rescued from nightclubs, or places where they exploited sexually. The adolescence who live here have a desire to overcome the issues associated with their exploitation and re-connect with society.
